Personal Segment:
A Multi-City Cheque (MCC) is one that can be written by the customer in favour of his client and is payable at par at all branches of the Bank. MCC can be issued in cheque operated accounts (SB and Current), in addition to normal cheque books. The MCC facility is to be used only for genuine transactions / bonafide remittances. No cash payments will be made to third parties at other branches. The upper limit for issue of MCCs is Rs.2 lacs. The issue charges for MCC are Rs. 3 per cheque leaf and will be debited from the account at the time of issue of the cheque book. There are no transaction charges.

i have deposited a multicity cheq of rs51000/-at the branch from where the cheque book and a/c was subscribed. rs110/- has been deducted from my cheq amount why
you should complaint for this charges. Your a/c will be refunded.
Why the my account ia debited foe the chequebook.the bank is issue a chequebook without any debit.so please my money refunded.

Please clarify who is a third party? For example MR X issued a multi city cheque by a customer
of SBI can Mr X encash it in a SBI branch other than the base branch?

Nice information.However there is a doubt with regard to the issue of third party. Say if a customer of the bank writes a cheque in the name of MR X ( a client) whether such a cheque is payable in non base branches of the SBI? Whether a "client" is to considered as third party.Or if a client encashes the cheque through some one else such a guy is to be considered as a third part ,please clarify.

i dont understand what is this MCC. i already loss Rs 500 on my account ....but till a date i never use my any cheqe book so why SBI cut the charges on my account... please if anybody have any information... can help me

MAHI SINGH plz go throught the sbi home page , where u can get all the information about the chequebook (debited mcc issued) . as far as may knowledge chequebook amount exemted for only sinior ctizen and a person who r maintaing 25k in our saving a/c.
i also applied fr cheque same and amt debied frm my a/c.
